Covid Risk Management

During this unprecedented time, I will be adhering rigidly with Government restrictions. I will be taking a lateral flow test twice weekly. Below is an outline of steps I will be taking to keep all learners safe.

Firstly, participants will be asked not to attend and isolate with their household at home if they have symptoms of COVID-19. (Symptoms are a temperature, new or persistent cough, loss of sense of smell or taste).

ARRIVING AT THE CHURCH

There is a one-way system in place at the church. Participants should arrive through the front door and leave through the back fire exit door. On arrival at the front door, there shall be some hand sanitiser labelled and available for Artisam participants, please stop and use this before continuing through the building. Participants will observe social distancing of at least 2m as they arrive and stagger their exit. Internal doors will be propped open so there’s no need to touch door handles. Participants are required to wear a mask whilst inside the premises.

IN THE CLASSROOM

I’ll be washing my hands thoroughly before the class, during the class as necessary and at the end. Participants should wash their hands thoroughly for at least 20 seconds using soap and water on arrival. I will provide soap in the classroom and ask that participants bring their own small towel. I will also provide hand sanitiser for participants to use, or students can bring their own.

The door and windows will be left open for ventilation.

I will ask that all participants bring their own art materials and paper and do not share. I will not be bringing spares for participant use, except for masking fluid which I will wipe down between use.

I will stand and demonstrate the art projects at the front of the room on my easel.

I will ask that participants chose a table and chair at the start of the session and stick with it. Do not move chairs around the room.

CLEANING

Before and after each session I will disinfect the tables, chairs, taps and door handles, plus any other surfaces as required.

TOILETS

Christ Church Orpington would like to limit the use of the toilet facilities to ‘emergency use’ only. There will be a disabled toilet available for use that will be regularly cleaned, and a sanitisation point inside.

MATERIALS

Over the course of the 6 weeks you will need a pencil, rubber, sharpener, paint brushes, watercolour paint, colour pencils, soft pastels, oil pastels, paper. The lesson plan will break down what is needed each week.

Thank you for your cooperation.
