Description

This Curtain Making Workshop is aimed at beginners and intermediate sewers. You will learn the basics of the sewing machine, how to thread up the machine and bobbin, sew different stitches and turn. You will learn how to size the material for your window and construct the curtain including: adding the curtain tape, lining, mitred corners and hem. This will all be done on a dummy/mini sized project. I have sewing machines for you to use or you are welcome to bring your own machine to learn on as long as it is in good working order.

Tea and coffee will be available. The course takes place at Artisam Studio 255, 255 Repton Road, Orpington, BR6 9JD. A relaxed studio close to Chelsfield station in Orpington.

At ArtisamStudio there are crochet, knitting, calligraphy, lino printing, screen printing, sewing craft workshops and daytime and evening Art classes If there’s a craft you are interested in but don’t see on the site please email me to express interest. Group bookings and bespoke sessions in the daytime, evening and weekends can be arranged.
