I’m sending a photo of the corner of my new room…..I’ve put up so many things I’ve done since I started classes with you. I’ve also made a lot of collages which I’ve grown in confidence with since starting your classes. All in all, joining “Art therapy ” as Deanne calls it has been the best thing I’ve done in a very long time!”
Lisa started art classes in Autumn 2022.
“I really look forward to my weekly art class with Sam. The classes are informal and relaxed. Over time Sam’s calm and encouraging demeanour has helped me develop my skills and inspired me to create.”

Alison has been coming to art classes since autumn 2021 and has joined the crochet and lino printing workshops.
“Still my favourite but there were quite a few to choose from.
I started in September 2021 still love the relaxed atmosphere. The studio is professional yet homely. Sam plans a variety of subjects and has a supportive and positive attitude to ‘just give it a go’. Highly recommend if you need a space to switch off or need friendly company. Plus a real sense of achievement.”
Jenny came to art classes from 2015 to 2019 and again in 2021.
“This was done in class with Sam. I always enjoyed the meditative aspects of an art class – how we could sit quietly for ages, gently smudging at tiny bits of chalk, looking for negative spaces and shadows – as much as the chat and companionship of being in class.”
Zosia has been coming to art classes since autumn 2021.

Caroline has been coming to art classes for TEN years since the first term in autumn 2015.
“This was my introduction to acrylics in the very first term and I loved them. I’ve gone on to do better work!
I think this is the watercolour that’s turned out the best. It’s also A3 which challenges me, and finished!
I love Sam’s art classes – two hours to focus solely on drawing or painting interesting pictures, in a variety of media.
