Description

This Sewing Machine Course is aimed at beginners to sewing. You will learn the basics of the sewing machine, how to thread up the machine and bobbin, sew different stitches and turn, then move onto inserting zips and buttons holes. You can then pick from a range of simple sewing projects to practice the skills you have learnt. I have sewing machines for you to use or you are welcome to bring your own machine to learn on as long as it is in good working order. Over the 3 week course projects you could complete are a tote bag, gift bags, cushion cover, etc.

Tea and coffee will be available. The course takes place at Artisam Studio 255, 255 Repton Road, Orpington, BR6 9JD. A relaxed studio close to Chelsfield station in Orpington.

At ArtisamStudio there are crochet, knitting, calligraphy, lino printing, screen printing, sewing craft workshops and daytime and evening Art classes If there’s a craft you are interested in but don’t see on the site please email me to express interest. Group bookings and bespoke sessions in the daytime, evening and weekends can be arranged.
